Flowcharts are a powerful tool for visualizing complex processes, improving communication, and identifying areas for optimization. Structur's flowchart feature allows you to create professional and easy-to-understand flowcharts directly within the platform.

Here's how to create a flowchart in Structur:

  1. Navigate to Employee Handbook: From your Structur dashboard, click on the "Employee Handbook" tab in the sidebar menu.

  2. Choose the Relevant Section: Select the folder and then the specific section where you want to create your flowchart. For example, if you're visualizing your sales process, you might navigate to your "Sales" folder and then the "Lead Management" section.

  3. Add a New Page: Click the "Add New Page Content" button to open the page content options menu.

  4. Select "Flowchart": Choose "Flowchart" from the menu. This will open the flowchart creation page.

  5. Give Your Flowchart a Title: Enter a clear and descriptive title that reflects the process being visualized. For example, "Sales Lead Qualification Process" or "Construction Project Lifecycle."

Now you're ready to start building your flowchart!

  • Drag-and-Drop Shapes: Use the drag-and-drop interface to add various shapes to your canvas. Common flowchart shapes include:

    • Rectangles: Represent process steps or actions.

    • Diamonds: Represent decision points.

    • Arrows: Indicate the flow of the process.

  • Connect Shapes: Connect the shapes with arrows to show the sequence of steps in the process.

  • Add Text: Click on shapes to add text describing the step or decision.

  • Customize Styles: Change the colors, fonts, and sizes of shapes and text to create a visually appealing and easy-to-read flowchart.

Benefits of using Structur flowcharts:

  • Improved Clarity: Visualizing processes helps to identify bottlenecks, redundancies, and areas for improvement.

  • Enhanced Communication: Flowcharts provide a clear and concise way to communicate processes to team members and stakeholders.

  • Increased Efficiency: By understanding and optimizing processes, you can improve efficiency and reduce errors.

  • Better Training: Use flowcharts as training aids to help employees understand complex procedures.
